      • George is a pistol maker, and they live at 26 High Street, Aston Manor
      • This is likely to have been at the Tranter Gun and Pistol Factory a large factory completed in 1867 at 31 Lichfield Road, Aston Cross, complete with an unprecedented degree of steam automation. It was the most extensive pistol-making business in the midlands, producing over 20 different cartridge revolvers and pistols of Tranter’s own design. Tranter was a founding partner of BSA.
