Francis and Elizabeth Larard had seven children. Their children are Henry Larard’s first cousins.

      • 1911: 49 East Terrace, Fairlawn, Sydenham. Her sisters Cassandra, Martha and Elizabeth are with her.

      • 1874: Executor of Henry Larard‘s will, jointly with George Seymour Lovejoy (PTO). 
      • 1881: Lodger at 74 Palmerston Road, Northampton. Something commercial for a leather factory. Cobbler’s son from London has headed for the shoe capital of Britain. A third of adult males were in the shoe industry there.
      • The first tram line in Northampton opened in the same year. Buses followed a generation later, including ones to Wellingborough. The company became United Counties, and I used the route to go to Uni as a mature student in the 1990s. My photos of the town are here.

      • By 1911, had moved back to London. 2 Windsor Road, Denmark Hill. 10 rooms for two people. Buyer and exporter in the leather trade. Looks like the house were in a state of decay – see this article, which also has a period picture. All fixed up now – modern art and all. The old railway station opposite has been converted to a pub
